Community Groups Ignored
The BCC had requested:
Meetings to be co-hosted by CPOs, Hamlets/Villages, Chambers, and other
organizations within that community.
But, of course, the "Villages and Hamlets" Liaison, apparently looking to butter her Villages & Hamlets bread,
"here is an opportunity for the H&Vs to host a meeting for the BCC."
Thus, the sole, complete responsibility for the event is: The Villages of the Darned cronies!
While it was intended to be a community event and involve all the community organizations:
Chamber, CPOs, Villages, Women's Club, Lion's Club, etc
it, instead, became a political / bureaucratic / Potemkin Village for the Liaison, who also did all the work (someone has too much time on her hands!), and bluster event for the Darned folk.

Hello everyone, here is an opportunity for the H&Vs to host a meeting for the BCC. The
information below is a skeleton idea for what will happen. This is a very good way to put your names out in front of the public and get great publicity. The meetings are tentatively planned for July, October, January, April. Be thinking about which of you might be willing to host a meeting and when. I will have much more information after a Monday staff meeting. This is also a
partnering opportunity if two or more hamlets want to but in a bid to host one meeting.
Here is direction from the BCC:
Complete Communities Congress:
- Becomes quarterly town hall meetings held in various locations within the County.
- Each meeting has a specific topic and also time for open dialogue with Board.
- Meetings to be co-hosted by CPOs, Hamlets/Villages, Chambers, and other
- organizations within that community.
- Meetings will be recorded by Cable division for later broadcast.
- PGA staff supports meetings.
OK, BCC, what do you do with an employee who doesn't follow direction and white washes/covers up the poor results by "enabling" in order to protect their position?
They weren't totally evil,
nor were they particularly virtuous,
but their incompetence, deceit, snake oil, and intimidation
made them the Villages of the Darned
